On Saturday, March 30th 35 members of the Tega Cay Croquet Club enjoyed some fun activities on the lawn. It was a picture perfect day to be enjoying each other’s company and playing games on the court!!
There were regular games of golf croquet played in 20 minute time slots.
Added to the regular games were tests of skill and eye/hand coordination as participants tried their hand at a Hole in One Wicket on the side of the court. Most of the people present tested their skills and over half of those present came away winners.
At half-time twelve brave souls tested their “egg-rolling skills” by rolling an egg from one end of the court to the other with the side of a mallet(no hitting allowed). There were two lucky winners; Mike and Pat Linder’s daughter and Gloria Bensch. Chocolate bunnies were given as prizes.
Refreshments of cheese, crackers, grapes, brownies and cookies were served, along with the usual beverages of wine, soda and water.
Sally Bennett, Dana Boots and Wendy Hope hosted the event. Helpers included Marvin Bennett, Jan Hope, Betty Anderson, and Alan and Gloria Bensch.
