TCCC Web Site Policy & Standards

The Tega Cay Croquet Club’s (TCCC) website (www.tegacroquet.com is provided as an information source for public use.  The TCCC strives to present information which is accurate and maintain the integrity of the website.  The information is subject to periodic updates, revisions, deletions and additions without prior notice.  Material provided is gathered from many sources.  The TCCC is not responsible for errors or omissions contained in the information and makes no representations as to accuracy of the information provided by others.  Information presented on the TCCC website is collected, maintained, and provided for the convenience of the user.  The TCCC's Communications Policy applies only to the TCCC's website.  It does not extend to external websites, whether or not linked from the TCCC's website. The TCCC is not responsible for the content of external websites.  The advertisements on the website are an acknowledgement of the Club’s sponsors’ support of the Club.  A link from the TCCC website does not constitute or imply recommendation, or favoring of any specific commercial product, viewpoint, or service.  The TCCC website editor makes an effort to ensure that information published on the Club’s website is accurate and current.  Neither the TCCC Board nor any member of the TCCC warrants the accuracy, reliability or timeliness of any information published on TCCC website, and shall not be held liable for any losses caused by reliance on the accuracy, reliability or timeliness of such information.  Portions of the information may be incorrect or not current.  Any person or entity that relies on any information obtained from this system does so at their own risk.  At no time will the TCCC post any event information on our website that is sponsored by or serving a campaign for elected office or other types of political events. 

The TCCC views the provision of links to external websites as a public service that can benefit its Club members and other website visitors.  In addition, the TCCC may sell advertisement space on the website to sponsors who support the TCCC.  These ads will link to the sponsors’ websites.  Overall, the TCCC’s website should provide useful information on croquet and reflect a positive image of the TCCC and the Club’s sponsors.  The TCCC will select links to the external websites to the extent the links help support these goals.  In establishing and maintaining its website, the TCCC does not intend to create any forum or other means for public discourse.  Rather, the sole and limited purpose of the permitted external links is to provide information about croquet and the Club’s sponsors for TCCC members and other website visitors.

The TCCC does not endorse or provide preferential treatment to any third party websites or associated organizations or persons.  Since the TCCC does not control third party websites, it does not warrant that third party websites are accurate or reliable or that they have operational links.  The user acknowledges and agrees that the TCCC is not liable in any way for the content, accuracy, reliability, viewpoints, policies, or products provided by these external resources.

In order to avoid the appearance of TCCC endorsement of political content, links shall not be made to sites that are associated with, sponsored by or serving a campaign for elected office, by any political party or organization supporting or seeking to defeat any candidate for elective office or ballot proposal. 

By visiting the TCCC’s website, users agree that they will not use the site for any unlawful activity, or use it in any way that would violate the terms and conditions of use.  Any use of the TCCC website shall comply with all City of Tega Cay, South Carolina and federal laws and regulations.  Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on the TCCC website are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under state law and federal statutes including the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986.  Any use of the materials stored on the TCCC's website is prohibited without the written permission of the TCCC Board.  The TCCC retains all intellectual property rights including copyrights on all text, graphic images, and other content.  This means that the following acts or activities are prohibited without prior, written permission from the TCCC Board: 1) modify and/or re-use text, images, or other web content from the TCCC website or 2) distribute the TCCC's website content
