Club news May 2024

April President's Corner

The 2024 Spring Speed Croquet Social was held on April 20 from 2-4

No timing necessary, just the speed and skill of getting your 1 ball through 4 wickets and then of hitting the stake. That’s all it took for the TCCC members to have fun on Saturday, April 20, from 2-4pm.  Don Olson and Linda and Norm Pike provided the snacks, a delicious sheet cake, and a game of challenges.  Two partners were given one color ball, either blue, red, black, or yellow, and a different corner to start.  When the whistle blew, all four, two-player teams, each with their one-color ball, scurried around the court. The players alternated hitting their ball through the four wickets to see which team color would hit the stake first.  Weather was perfect, new friends formed, and the day was memorable for the beginning of spring on the croquet lawn.

Friday Night Croquet and Dinner (4th Friday of the month) to start on May 24th.

John Webb is starting a new monthly event, Croquet and Dinner on the 4th Friday of the month.  The next event is on May 24th.  Time is 4:30 to 6:00 pm and any number of members can show up.  Golf croquet will be played drawing chips to determine your partner.  Snacks and beverages will be provided by TCCC for at the lawn.

At approximately 6:15, any member who wants to join in can meet at the Tega Cay Tavern for dinner.”.  Reservations are required for anyone going to the dinner.  Please respond to John Webb by May 23 so that he can make dinner reservations.   [To contact John, email to john_webb2@comporium.net or get his contact information on our web page in the members only section.]

2024 May Month of Races Social is on May 19, 2-4 pm.  For more information go to the website at “Upcoming Social Events)
